Historic Moment for Carrie McCracken TRUCE Community Garden

Ladies and Gentlemen! We are THRILLED to introduce to you one of New York City’s newest parks! That’s right, Carrie McCracken TRUCE Community Garden successfully completed registration this year, under the Department of Parks and Recreation this time (instead of Housing). This time, gardens under HPD could only renew their very revocable contracts for one year. Our garden now enjoys a four-year agreement with the City with no new obligations to us. Our new status recognizes all the hard work that we have put in so far and will encourage us to dream about even better things for the future. Congratulations to everyone who has made our garden come alive! Thank you!
