  10. Esther Martinez

    Hi,
I have two beautiful plants that need a new home and a garden would be perfect for them. I’m not sure what they are but I’ve had them for about five years and they just keep growing and growing, thus they need a bigger home.

I believe they may be some type of small tree. One is green, about five feet high with tick green leaves. The other one is smaller, about three or four feet high and the leaves are different colors, including green, yellow, and red.

Would it be possible for me to become a member and plant my plants in the garden?I will be glad to send you some photos if you like.

If its not possible for me to become a member I will still like to donate them, as long as they are taking well care off.

    Thank You

    • Dear Esther,
Thank you for your interest in our garden. We would love to show you around and have you join us!
You won’t find any plants like yours though, from your description they are tropical plants that cannot survive outdoors in the winter here in Harlem. We can ask around and see if anyone is looking for an impressive house plant.
You must have a green thumb and would surely have good luck in our garden too.
See our calendar for times you are sure to find us in the garden!
      Best wishes.

  11. Hello Michelle, Marta and Steve,

My name is Ramona. I was present at the lovely cookout you had this past Labor Day. It was a wonderful event in which to meet as many members as possible.

I am a friend of Erin and am very interested in joining to become a Harlem Garden member.

I have been introduced to the garden itself by Erin and would love to meet with any and all of you to begin the process of becoming a member.

I fully believe in food self-sufficiency and am aware of the importance of neighborhood sustainability i nregards to gardening and organic produce.
I do have the time and energy to dedicate toward this beautiful garden, and have already started my own apartment garden/green space.

  12. Nicholas Walther

I have recently started participating in Carey King’s Bokashi composting adventures, and would love to know more about getting a garden plot. I think that either I or my girlfriend will be able to attend the February 11th meeting, but if not, when is the next meeting?

    Sam
