Every year, GrowNYC’s Open Space Greening Program holds a Spring Plant Sale in order to provide community groups with perennial and annual flowering plants, herbs, ground covers, and vegetables from Greenmarket farmers at wholesale prices. Plants are for neighborhood open space projects only (e.g. community gardens, schools, block associations, churches, etc.) and may be sold to raise other funds.
Our Carrie McCracken Garden will make an order for our garden. Please let us know if there is anything in particular you would like and whether you could help us pick some of the plants up on one of the dates listed below.
New this year: More annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, and heirlooms.
The list, descriptions and order form is available here: http://www.grownyc.org/openspace/plantsale.
In addition to checks, money orders, and cash, we will now be accepting EBT!
This form must reach their offices with payment by 5PM, Friday, April 8th, 2011.
