Plant seeds, take home a seedling, food, music, arts & crafts

In celebration of the spirit of Pablo David, an award-winning video artist who was a mentor to many young people in the Harlem community and beyond. Pablo had great pride in his Honduran Garifuna culture and also had a great respect for learning about other people’s traditions and issues of social justice. Pablo struggled in school but had finally started college when he was tragically killed in a car accident in 2004. Since then, TRUCE and the HCZ community has celebrated his life each year.

This garden event is a Harlem-wide invitation for individuals, families and community organizations to join in celebration of the peace and community Pablo David dedicated his life to.

Plant sunflowers and watch them bloom in Harlem symbolizing and honoring:
